I read and loved it. It flows nicely, good story and is fun. Lots of good imagination. I can say this even though it is a medium that I would not normally read. I thought that the start was pretty good and I got sucked into the story straight away.- Pat Grayson (Member of Writers 2000, South Africa)
I
read it, I loved it - I loved the names, I loved the adventures, I loved the
descriptive words. I loved that you have this ability of taking someone on this
fantastical journey – now, aside from JK Rowling, the last time that I was
actually transported into this land of mystery, was when Enid Blyton books were
out – how fantastic! -

My favourite characters were Skye, Neutrinos and, of course, Mischka. I thought the book was just a bit too short. It is a wonderful read, it never dragged on and was full of real feelings. Can’t wait for the next one. - Maxine I. (Grade 10, Holy Rosary School)
My child went to a school where you had given a presentation on the book and she came home with a flyer and she was so thrilled after hearing you speak about writing and the way you started writing that I had to get her a book. She really enjoyed that book. I took that book after many, many years of not reading, I actually finished the book. It was very, very good. It really encouraged my daughter and now she’s reading even more books so it is a great achievement, that you have inspired the children on reading. - Sunika Dheochand (Stay-at-home Mom, South Africa)
Just to let you know that I have started reading that story to my 6 year old every night and he loves it! - Zelda (Research Assistant, South Africa)
I see a movie in the making. I liked the titles of the chapters and loved the names of things like the Updowner, Flymos, finger wands. No boring or “skipping” bits. The story is richly textured and you have a flair for storytelling without putting one to sleep. - Arushni Charles (Optometrist, South Africa) Hi, The website is great. Please let me know when the 2nd book will be published. Lots of people u know at ERID are asking me for book 2. Cheers. Kammy Dhaver-Young (10/08/2006, South Africa) Excellent. Really enjoyed reading the first book to my daughter. The characters and world that you have described make you actually imagine that you were there. Can't wait for the next book and who knows maybe a movie to follow. Congrat's. Keyahusha and Yirishka (24/08/2006, South Africa)
